Excellent point. He can stand on stage now and call Rubio ‘Little Marco’ all day long with zero repercussions. He can insult Megyn Kelly and take relatively little heat for it right now.

But the Clintons at this point are watching his schtick and figuring out responses that will get under his skin. Cruz and Rubio (not to mention all who have crashed and burned) had no clue as to how to do that. The Clintons have been doing it for 30 years.

Exactly. Look at the ‘short-fingered vulgarian’ story. He’s been obsessing over that insult for years. Literally. For years he’s been trying to hit that sweet burn so he can finally say he topped that writer.

All Bill and Hil need to do is come up with one or two points that hit a nerve, and then throw them at him every day. Get Reid to join in. Obama has already said he’ll happily smack Trump around on the campaign trail.

See, Cruz and Rubio nearly unlocked how to set Trump off, but they started about 10 debates too late. The Clintons have taken note, and they know that to get inside Trump’s head, you have to tick him off once and then keep hitting that nerve.

Trump has been sparring with amateurs to this point. The Clintons have made a career of eviscerating political foes. The meltdown, when it comes, will be glorious.

Plus, he’s looking extremely unhealthy at each subsequent event. He doesn’t have the stamina for this.
