We really do ride some weird cosmic wavelength: my ex was injured in an accident that totaled our Smart in 2003…she spun out on a snowy road, and was lucky that there was no oncoming traffic, as she wound up facing directly into the oncoming lane.

Yikes. That would have scared the crap out of me. The only time I had any trouble in the snow was when I high-centred our car on an ice berm in Cheyenne coming out of a motel parking lot, right after the city ploughed the street. The manager came out and pushed us off.

The rental car company is on the phone with me now, arranging a car to be delivered on Wednesday. (That’s the soonest they can get me a car.)
