I’m convinced that Trump won the 2016 GOP primary for one simple reason.

Decades of Faux News, hate radio, and GOP pandering to racists, loons and bigots had created a cesspit of Satan in the Republican party that was almost perfectly Trump-shaped.

He just walked into being Fuhrer of the GOP like a key going into its lock.

I have to agree with that 100%. The GOP Post-Trump is a scary thought because I think they could do even worse.
