When you Google “exercise band injuries,” many of the results link to law firms soliciting clients for lawsuits related to these kinds of injuries — that’s how common they are.

Those things used to be made of heavy-duty metal springs with no plastic covers on them. I knew a very furry guy back in the day who had to wear a shirt because he kept getting his chest hairs caught in them.
