She’s a Democrat who was elected in a special election to replace the Republican who was found pleaded guilty to 6 of 65 charges of corruption.

You’d almost think that corruption is in the GOP party platform.

As little as I care for the Libertarian Party’s positions, they are really opposed to corrupt officials in any position of governance.

I’ve had this discussion with my wife the former LP member: If the LP were to replace the GOP as the other major party, discussions of government would be limited to its scope and purpose, not all this BS social conservative crap like opposing marriage equality or women’s and minorities’ rights. By itself that would seem to be an advancement of political discourse.
