Agreed. First the GOP demanded the bill’s spending be shaved down, then they demanded it be paid for. Now, out of a bill that was roughly $200+ billion, it’s now down to half that, with only $30 billion not paid for in some form or fashion. This isn’t the time to be playing politics with people’s lives, especially when you’ve got thousands in the Gulf who will be waiting months or years for that check from BP to come while being out of work.

The BP payment czar said they will be no delays like that in getting payments for the effects of this spill. But otherwise, I totally agree with you.
