I wouldn’t be too sure the American public is going to hold the President responsible for gas prices in November. We saw what happened in 2010 when all the Republicans came into Congress on the “Jobs Jobs Jobs Mantra” and gave us nothing but anti-abortion legislation and their old saw about lowering taxes on the job creators.

Just like the ad above, the President can show that drilling in the US has increased more now than under the Bush admin. I haven’t really heard Mitts plans to lower gas prices because a President really can’t do that. The American public has to come to grips with some realistic choices about gas consumption and oil production.
