You didn’t read my full comment, I already anticipated your rebuttal and your answer is in my original comment to you.

I read it. My original point stands. You can attempt to legislate morality. But inevitably it will fail. Laws against murder don’t stop all murders. Laws against drugs don’t stop drug use. Laws against sexual acts don’t stop those acts from being performed.
