I already went through enough with Beth Sholom’s rebuild.

This is what we ended up with. I think it’s ridiculous-looking, but the opposition was so ugly and borderline anti-Semitic that I ended up feeling as though I had to support every last detail of the project. A word of warning.

It has also won some awards, so not everyone agrees with me.

I am not a big fan of huge modernistic structures smack in the middle of what looks like an old, classic neighborhood.

That thing really belongs on its own campus, set back on a winding road and hidden behind a bunch of trees.
