Meh. I understand your basic argument but the reality remains that those ships in English hands did more real world good than they would have in the hands of a German ally. The Ottoman’s were never going to be a positive influence for the west. The “Students” of Afghanistan will be helping us first, I believe… Ataturk was the best thing that has happened to Turkey before or since, alas…
