The fact that Cuomo didn’t run despite being a three term governor of a large state should give us all pause, in this scenario. At this point, I really have no idea what the not-Biden choice would be.

I imagine the Berners would be all-in on claiming the nomination.

Currently the estimated delegate count is:

Biden: 1,406
Sanders: 974
Warren: 81
Gabbard: 2
Bloomberg/Buttigieg: 1 each.

I presume what happens if Biden withdrew or was unable to continue for whatever reason, his delegates would be released. If he was able, he might suggest they go to a particular candidate.
