That’s my biggest concern. I also find it ironic that a nation whose wealth is primarily from petroleum (Qatar is an OPEC nation) will purchase Current TV which is partially owned by Al Gore.

Look on the bright side: Maybe Al could use the money to buy solar panels made by slave labor in China.
/Seriously, it’s probably just all about money. Murdoch, Saudi investors, Gore, Qatar’s royal family are mostly concerned with making money. Sure there’s some agenda but they’re all mostly interested in giving people what they want and taking their money. They’ll test market audiences and tell them what they want to hear.
