re: #349 Dianna
Years ago, I was grabbed by a guy in a paper closet. I knocked him down and ran. I left the job that day, when the supervisor told me I must have done something to encourage him.
That afternoon, the police appeared on my doorstep. Said assailant had filed a police report that I assaulted him.
For several seconds, I simply stood there and stared, because this could not be happening. The order of reality had somehow taken off on a tangent.
I imagine that’s what your acquaintance felt.
I assume that all went away quickly, but with an aggressive attorney you might have made out well on it all. Bet the authorities knew the guy on sight.
