Yes, the two cases are apples and oranges. I think we have to be consistent about gun violence. But, the problem here is that the young man was 15 years old and charged as an adult.

His age should have been more of a consideration with some harsh consequence but alternative to prison time. I think had he been a white kid, the results would have been more of a slap on the wrist, which is sad…See: school shooters. Almost always white male teens. Also, Giuliani’s daughter was a grown woman at 21. One day Community service? Yeah, rich white privilege.
