I’ve always seen a strong pro-immigrant attitude among most of the members of the Mormon Church. Not so strong as to make citizenship any easier, but they send kids out all over the world on missions, requiring them to learn the local language before they get there, to some extent at least. They want to bring people from everywhere to Utah, at least for a visit.

Not saying Bundy deserves any hint of slack.

And their church needs to let women wear pants, to church and everywhere.

During the Romney campaign we learned that there is a very “porous” relationship between the LDS and the Mexican border. Some of Romey’s forbears did time-out in a Mormon Mexican enclave, IIRC.
