Our local talk radio out of Pittsburgh is sometimes days behind. On the other hand, they’ve broadcasted audio of amazing stuff I haven’t heard before. So it works out just fine. TV? Bahhhhh…..

Yes, the irony is that television — arguably the most ‘instant’ of the media — is typically last to any major development. Most big stories are broken — again, ironically — by newspapers, arguably the ‘slowest’ of the news media.

Of course, once TV gets its lens in focus, nothing beats watching live while a murderous thug rolls down the 405 in his white Bronco.
