It has a hole in the middle to remind us that sustenance without spirit is insufficient!

If you let one sit for two weeks it makes a great hockey puck - or ninja weapon!

It is crisp and slightly crunchy on the outside, yet chewy, moist and dense (yet still somehow airy) on the inside. It was kneaded by stout men and women with forearms like Popeye!

And you doubt the goodness, the essential rightness, of the bagel?
