I actually used to have a poster of Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights triptych. It’s an amazing, disturbing vision of medieval Christianity’s world view. I can understand why people might find it hard to deal with. It is.

And that is exactly why it is a great painting.

By the way…think of all the vinyl album cover art made form different sections of that one piece. Or the overall influence it has had on graphic art.
