I think the A-10 is comparable to the Stuka in World War 2, it’s very effective, once you use other planes to take out everything that could be a threat to it, then you let it off the leash to have its fun/do its job, and I don’t think there’s been a more effective CAS bird in a long time.

Not a particular study. Confession time-I use an advanced sim to model some of this. Used to be a $199 game. (Steam $39) That thing has the latest public data on practically everyone’s military. kay that’s a game, might be FOS. Even though the Navy buys it, mods it and trains with it.

Just look at the specs for our Patriot missile and the Russian equivalent. Israeli anti air developments, again on our $$.

Imagine an A-10 trying to get into defended airspace over Israel or Russia. Or stay alive more than minutes. Those weapons make their way down the allied nations via arms sales over time. Recall what a complication the new Russian anti air missiles were going to be if sold to Iran? That’s the kind of example I’m using.

That’s gonna be a drone job.
