It may be ugly as hell, but damn, they’re reliable….and safe. I had one that reached over 750K on the odometer, and it never failed me once. Easy to maintain, too.

Conversely, I had a 1992 940 (bought used in 2010 with only 40K miles) that was a money pit. I was so thankful when someone hit me and totaled it.
