Not news to me. The fact that Europeans can’t do the same thing may be contributing to the demise of the Euro as a currency. Sucks for them.

And if you think Paul follows “what Libertarians think”, you don’t know him very well.

European states have been financed through their central banks as well (only Zimbabwe, Ecuador, Montenegro must be completely free of that issue, given the abolishment of their currencies). The fact that the ECB has certain constraints doesn’t change that it has been too expansive and is becoming ever more expansive.

Some libertarians indeed don’t support Paul, and probably no-one agrees for 100 percent with everything he says, but I’d be curious to hear examples of where he doesn’t represent orthodox libertarian theory. Immigration, maybe (long discussion…), but that’s about it.
