During the Romney campaign we learned that there is a very “porous” relationship between the LDS and the Mexican border. Some of Romey’s forbears did time-out in a Mormon Mexican enclave, IIRC.

His father was born there. His father also should be remembered as the Romney who wasn’t a poiitcal coward like his son and granddaughter and grandsons.
