It should be crystal clear to the GOP by this time that what is needed is a sound fiscal policy being upheld as our position in 2010 and 2012. Seems to me one month of 0bama has been enough to cause many Americans to consider this may not have been the best we could have done. They’ll want reasonable fiscal sanity, and soon.

The crisis that hurt McCain might also be the crisis that saves this party. Fisc-cons must step up now, and be the force in the party. Focus on tax cuts, discuss reform of the spending mechanisms in Congress, and champion reasonable spending (including science).

If we can do this, we can win back Congress, we can take the WH in 2012. Are we bold enough to do it?
