OK: not to take away from the indubitable fact that there has to be SOMETHING hinky going on with painkiller distribution in Floyd Cty, KY, that figure of “477 pills per person” is slightly misleading, as that seems to be over a seven-year period (2010-16): or 68 pills per person per year. Still seems off, though.

68 opiod pills for every single person in the County, most of whom presumably don’t need prescription opiod painkillers. That is definitely off.
