That’s true of course, but the Taxed Enough Already chorus will surely rise up to protest and get out their patriot costumes.

My personal belief is that the Taxed Enough Already chorus was really about the Black Guy In the White House, since at that point their taxes had been going DOWN for some time, and he actually LOWERED them. The complaints about being taxed were really complaints about having to accept one of Those People, elected by Those People, as President.
