Ayep, Milo’s entire shtick was about being “edgy” and “controversial,” which really translated as “being a dick to the people conservatives hate with a passion hotter than a thousand suns.” But as I noted last night, the drawback to your meal ticket depending on being “edgy” is you have to either keep escalating until you cross a line that leads to massive backlash or you burn out and retire. Milo hit the former, but it’s beginning to become obvious that he’s in real danger of reaching the latter before too much longer. Most of the “edgy” crowd are young folks, because by the time you become an adult, people view “edgy” as meaning “asshole.”
