Rock throwing had a role in the lead-up to the Kent State shootings. Live fire in response was universally condemned at the time, even by Nixon and his henchmen, so much so that Guard commanders concocted a ludicrous claim that a sniper had fired on the troops. No evidence has ever surfaced for a sniper, but the claim persists among RWNJs.

Yeah, a sniper who usually is in a hidden position.

So, what did the guard do, turn and fire on students clearly both running away and milling about watching from a distance.

There is no single political act that gets me pissed of more than Kent State. I guess because I was almost 16 and at a very impressionable age and an Ohioan that lived maybe an hour away.

Wait…I have to reconsider. Trump getting elected might be edging Kent State out…
