Two articles relating to fake news and RW bias.

The first is from The Sun in the UK, about an imam reciting the call to prayer during a concert in an Anglican church.
thesun.co.uk

The headline is misleading, suggesting the imam offered the prayer without permission. In fact, it was part of a scheduled musical performance, and the piece chosen was performed without permission. IOW, the imam was doing what he was asked to do.
The usual suspects — the entire RW media — is of course using it as an example of “the war of Christianity” and “creeping sharia”, etc.

The other comes from the Washington Post, about a guy who has created a very popular satirical news paper on Facebook — both funny and disturbing, because so many readers take his satire as gospel truth. The article includes an interview with an elderly shut-in (quite similar to a family friend of mine) who believes all the crap on the FB page is literally true, no matter how obviously fake it is.

I just can’t even anymore.
