Greets and saluts from the NYC metro area.
Want to know why women don’t come forward when they have been raped? It’s because cops don’t believe them. It’s because they’re victimized at every step. And even rape isn’t called rape by media outlets when there is no other way to describe it.
Consider:
Wrong.
The story is that a Florida cop raped an underage girl in back of patrol car.
It’s rape. There is no consent involved here. None. It was forced, coerced, and without consent due to the age of the victim.
Media outlets have to call this rape.— lawhawk (@lawhawk) August 12, 2019
That’s right; a 14 year old girl is sexually assaulted by a cop in his patrol car, but the headline is cop has sex with girl in car. “Florida trooper had sex with 14-year-old girl in the back of his car: authorities”
Florida trooper raped a 14-year old girl in his patrol car: authorities. Even if that quote is from the “authorities” it shows what women are up against. They can be sexually assaulted and the authorities treat it as sex unless… A 14-year old cannot consent by law. It is statutory rape. Period. That girl was raped. That’s the headline.
