It was a neat toy, that first Macintosh with its pitiful 128k RAM.
Then came the LaserWriter, Aldus Pagemaker and shortly after that the Macintosh Plus which finally had enough RAM to begin to be useful.
That finally shook things up for real and Jobs was able to take advantage of it.
The Amiga and the Atari ST both came out then too and both were superior in many ways except neither Commodore nor Atari had anyone like Jobs.
