No, there’s a store in town that sells overstock, close-outs, and factory reconditioned merchandise. It’s the best place to go for a good deal on mobile phones here.

The one I bought was overstock, with money taken off because of a small scratch on the anodized aluminium case. The display is fine, no scratches, the camera and video recorder work great, no other probs, and like I said, a one year warranty.

You can’t beat that with a stick, as my Grandfather would say. I’ve gotten some great deals on stuff like that over the years, once got a great deal on a fridge from the Sears Outlet store, it had a small dent on the back side of the right hand panel. Since that is the side against the wall in my house, somebody would have to have pulled it out to see it. (and if they do things like that, they don’t get to come back).
