re: #365 TedStriker

I do think there is still great value in the mission of the BSA; while the organization as a whole has made strides in recent years, there is still a lot of work to be done, even in this day and age, to make Scouting even more inclusive and tolerant.

However, while the BSA’s definition of “religion” and “God/Creator” is fairly broad these days, including some religions I’d never known about until a decade or so ago, decoupling the religious aspect from the rest of the program (especially from the Scout Oath and Law) will be very difficult at best; for this, it’ll take a long time, but I do think it’ll eventually happen (or, at least, atheists and agnostics will be allowed to be members).

Why?
