He really did screw it up. I like Ralph a lot but he fucked up there. He played right into Gillespie’s stupid game.

The thing that keeps me in fits with the Democratic Party these days is that with Lord Dampnut fucking the country and the world up right now, we have to have a united front to oppose him and his policies (as they were) and to keep up the pressure; aside from Mueller’s non-partisan investigation homing in on Trump, that’s not really happening like it should, especially not from the media. From the perpetual Hillary hate that’s really unfounded in reality, even from those in her own party, and all of the other shit, like Berniacs still raging, the recent Northam complications, or any one of a number of problems nationwide, it really is a fucking circular firing squad; it seems that some putative Dems/”liberals”/”progressives” would rather lose and stay in the current political wilderness, just so they can fucking bitch incessantly and play at being the “resistance”.

I think that most people that give a shit about this country like we do still don’t understand, even after the clusterfuck of the past year: the GOP have to be lucky *just enough* to get what they want, but the Democrats basically have to be lucky every time, just to keep things from getting even worse.
