I remember a few lizards (myself among them) trying to sound the alarm back in ‘17, only to be met with assurances that there would be checks on his behavior. That if his own party didn’t stop him (they’d want to be reelected), then the courts would stop him, so anybody saying he’d tear through the law to rule like a king was engaged in “hysteria.”

Sweet summer children…

For the most part the courts have stopped him.

I had no illusions the GOP would do anything, because all they care about is gaining and expanding power.
