Mmmm Mossberg. I agree with other posts that a shotgun is superior for home defense to almost other type of legal weapon. It’s even safe for apartment neighbors with the right load (i.e. won’t go through the wall and kill little Sally).

Pistol wise I’ve had my eye on this Kimber Eclipse but that’s for fun shooting. If someone’s coming in the house I’m counting on a nice splayed shot pattern.
