Honestly, the only thing that makes sense at this point is Paul is still holding out for a pardon from Donny, figuring he can take his chances with the state-level charges. That they’re more likely to spin a plea for him that avoids anything concerning the election, which is a given if he wants to avoid time in Club Fed.
