We on the Left, on average, are really pretty goddam dumb. The Right has been all about the courts since at least the 1980s, so they always vote, and they always vote for the Republican candidate.

And us? We say stupid shit like “MY vote has to be WON!”, as if we’re so goddam special that we can just sit out an election if we’re not excited about the candidate and not have the whole country slide into the shitter.

Yeah a lot of our damage is self inflicted. I’m proud to be on the left because of what the left has accomplished over the years but there’s a loud segment on the left that puts their ideological dogmatism above progress and they have allowed the likes of W Bush and Trump to take office because of that.
