I usually despise advertising for the tricks of it’s trade, but every once in a while you get something like that that makes you appreciate it better. It ticks off every point and yet in the end you don’t care that it’s twisting your emotions. You just wipe your eyes and smile anyway. Very well done and, in it’s own way, a delightful bit of drama.

Drama’s always been EJ’s strong suit. So to speak. :)

I saw him on his first tour, opening for Faces at the Electric Factory in Philly, just him, Dee and Nigel. He took the stage in yellow overalls and gold-sparkled Doc Maartens.

‘Your Song’ had not yet broken on radio, and everybody was like, ‘Who is this guy?’ Needless to say, his little combo stole the show. Rod had to work extra hard that night.
