The Los Angeles Police Department have a policy of NOT asking immigration status. Makes for better “community relations” don’t you know!
I’ll have to go look up the reasons. I don’t recall them right now.

I’m assuming that they know that if they’re in any way connected with la migra, no one will ever talk to them again. Tell me what you find out, though.
