FNC wants to paint a picture of illegal immigrants being Hispanics sneaking over the border but yeah this isn’t news to anyone who actually pays attention to immigration law and nuance.

Exactly. My former student didn’t really stand out (well, to be honest, she was tall: a hair over 6’ 1”, blue eyes and strawberry blonde) but your average FNC viewer wouldn’t even look twice at her (well, maybe not as an illegal alien….you know what I mean). She’s not brown or black.

The reason she was in my English class was so she wouldn’t forget her English - her English was outstanding, and I would sometimes have her translate things for the more basic-level students….she became my unofficial teacher’s assistant.
