Okay. (from mine) How about the fact that home prices are now coming back in line with historical pricing - making them far more affordable so long as the government doesn’t screw things up and attempt to make foreclosures more difficult - a driving force in correcting prices in overheated markets.

Housing prices aren’t the end-all, but the more affordable they are without any other government programs to distort the markets and artificially create demand, the better and healthier the market is.

Sales may be down from historic highs, but that too is a good thing because the sales factor was artificially created with unreasonably low interest rates and pressure from Congress to lenders to issue loans to those who couldn’t afford to repay.
