Needs good range for an anti-hero character like him.

A little bit younger I’d like to see what Kevin Spacey or Gabriel Byrne could do with it. And I would also be curious what sort of take the Cohens could do with the material.

If I could get any actor of any time to do it I’d favor James Cagney or Gregory Peck. Sort that can do a sensitive turn and then suddenly go semi-psycho on you, and make it believable.
