I think Senators and Congresspeople need to be in D.C. so they can go into a room, drink a lot, and agree among themselves that a bunch of them will come out together and renounce Trump. One at a time and Trump can pick them off. A significant number together and he would be powerless.

A blitzkrieg impeachment. Get it done and dusted in one day. Impeachment by the House in the morning, conviction by the Senate early afternoon, removal from office by 5 PM that day at the latest.
