At the time, most people seemed to considerSome Like it Hot or Milton Berle in drag, or even Corporal Klinger on M*A*S*H* harmless fun and entertainment.

And Liberace was as campy as they come but totally loved by my parent’s generation.

But for lack of other things to get upset about (or rather such a wealth of other issues to distract from) Drag Queens have become a hill that the Family Values Warriors are ready to die on.

Our local Pride Group had to cancel their Drag story time because of threats against it and the sponsor, Barnes and Noble, backing out because of said threats. That being said, I’m not into, nor do I enjoy, drag and avoid the shows they put on like the proverbial plague. But that is MY opinion and it’s one I don’t try and push on other people.
