I think of it more as applying direct pressure to stop the bleeding… but it is gonna take some drastic actions to save the patient.

Leaving aside the mixed metephor, that will have to wait till 2012, and then only if the GOP runs a sane candidate. If they run a nut, then Obama will have another 4 years.
