There are lots of countries that have land mines and would really like to get rid of them. So far we’ve been really lucky with that one. The idea that we’d start planting them for no better reason than a pathological need to see people hurt for trying to cross the border is just ridiculous.

Wouldn’t stop people from trying, either.

There will always be plenty of derp filled, racist assholes who think that placing landmines along the Mexican border is a good idea. Someone needs to point them towards countries where decades after a conflict ends, people are still dying from landmines.

They won’t care, of course, but hopefully enough sensible people around them will talk them out of that bit of idiocy. Or, they’ll arrest these morons for trying to make and lay landmines in an area.
