He made that decision after a mob descended upon him and demanded his resignation. You keep leaving out bits of this story that are inconvenient to the narrative you wish to tell. Perhaps it’s because if you tell people he jumped rather than he was pushed, it helps the party avoid any responsibility for their actions.
Pushing implies Franken was left without any choice. He had a choice; they weren’t going to expel him if he refused to resign before the investigation was complete. If I was innocent I wouldn’t have resigned; whether you like it or not, Franken wasn’t innocent, and US Senators expressing their belief he should resign are not a “mob.”
