I suppose they think nonbelievers’ skin will blister if we touch their Holey Bibble.

When I was first elected, I contacted the county prosecutor before the next village board meeting noting state law requires using the Bible.

He called the state attorney general and got a “special dispensation” for me.

Since that time, the state oath has been updated to include using any holy book, or none.
