Right, I can’t imagine any conservative presidential candidate signing the Americans with Disabilities Act or Clean Air or valuing international cooperation as H.W Bush did in Desert Storm. I’m aware of the more negative aspects of his legacy which were discussed at length when he did last month but that’s the thing. And I’ve seen this on a state level too. Ultimately even though I’ll never be a conservative and frankly I have little taste for conservative ideology, I think a functioning society needs conservative and liberalism. What’s passed for conservative during my lifetime though keeps getting worse.

Virtually all Ideas have merit no matter where they come from on the political spectrum
Then they get debated and analysed
Crackpot notions are easily dismissed. Not because they are from the fringes. But because they are illegitimate and obviously not in good faith
