I have no doubt of this. If today’s conservatives were transplanted to the rise of Fascism in the 30’s. They would have been defending Hitler for “saving Germany.” They would have denied he was Antisemitic.

Some ungodly fraction of today’s US conservatives would have happily served in the SS or as death camp guards, etc. Just writing down any realistic % guess is way too depressing.
